Dobers Family
We have know the Dober family for over 5 years now. In this time we have watched their family grow. It is amazing how every time we do a session with them how much their kids have changed. Their girls are becoming young ladies and little Kaiya is getting so grown up for her little 2 year old self! Here are a few of my favs from the session.

The Law of Receptivity
“The key to effective giving is to stay open to receiving”
Here is my last review on “The Go-Giver”. I have fallen so far behind on my blogging this last week as we are trying to get our website updated and all that fun stuff. We have a temporary new site up, but, that will change in the next 1-2 months to our new upgraded site. We are really excited about it!!!
Well, were to begin? This one is a hard one for everyone. As stated in the book we have all learned “It is better to give then receive.” Which is true but we also have to be open to receiving. How many times has someone tried to bless you or even give you advice and you were unwilling to take it? I know I am guilty!!! How can others be Go-Givers if we don’t let them give? This kind of reminds me of the Pay it Forward effect. I am still digesting how to implement this as I am one of those that loves to give but has a hard time receiving. I have learned over the years how to take constructive criticism. (but, still struggle with it a little. I mean who doesn’t?) I am also getting better at accepting gifts that are given for now reason. For example, I have a great friend that is always wanting to bless me and sometimes it is hard as I don’t have anything to give back. (at least this is how I feel at times) She hired someone to come clean my house and then paid for me to get my hair done by an amazing hair stylist. Man was it hard to be humble and accept it. But, then I realized God wants us to be blessed in every area of our life. Not just our business, but, our person well being also.
I think I have give the best examples of how we have implemented this book into our lives and would love to hear stories of others that have been blessed by “The Go-Giver”. I have been so blessed reading this book and I have Go Givers Sell More waiting for me to read next. I must say this is our busiest season and I fall behind on my reading this time of year. But, I will never forget one of the photographer mentors I follow once said “in order to grow your business you need to read at least one book a week if you want to grow” So with that being said I just inspired myself to read it. I am not sure if I will have reviews on it yet as I haven’t even started reading it. But, I am sure I will get something great out of it!

Calico Basin Sunset
Last, Saturday, August 21st, we did a family session as we started heading out. Josh seen this horseback rider on the horizon and couldn’t miss the opportunity. He ran to get the shot and I wanted to share it with all of you. Enjoy! And as Josh would say “Always remember to see the light”

That Little Small Voice
This morning before church as we hustled all our kids out to the car so we could be to church on time. I felt a prompting in my spirit to get Malachi clean clothes just in case he peed in class. Well, I thought why am I thinking that he hasn’t had an accident in a few months and hasn’t had one in class for months now. We finished up the kitchen and gathered the kids library books as every Sunday after church we take our kids to the library. Got the kids in the car and I took the library books to the trunk of our van. I seen an extra shirt for Kai and noticed he didn’t have any extra shorts and underwear. Again, that voice in my head says you need to get him extra clothes, I blew it off. We get to church, sign our kids into their classes, great our friends sitting by us. No sooner does service start and Kai’s number goes up. I knew at that moment he peed his pants!!!! I couldn’t believe it! As I didn’t pack him clothes like The Holy Spirit kept telling me all morning. I had to drive home and get him clothes. In this time it really made me stop and listen to the Spirit of The Lord. At that moment I realized that God cares about every part of our life (yes, even our kids peeing their pants) and if we will just listen to His Small Voice, He will guide us in whatever we are doing at the time.
